How to not eat like a retard IV

8. Grains
Grains suck. Remove them from your diet immediately, especially the whole grain shit – the more processed, the more tolerable. Why the fuck would you even eat grains, really? We’ve only been eating those shits for like 10,000 years at most, and out of what, 2 million years of existence? Grains are shitty for all mammals, except maybe rodents, but they eat anything anyway.
“But durr you need 6 servings of whole grains a day” No you don’t. The government doesn’t give two shits about your health, that’s why all of our food is crappy. They pushed grains because of economic and political reasons, not health. The grain farmers are very rich, powerful people who think they can poison the United States for a profit. Fuck them.
The problem grains have is that they will chronically elevate insulin. There’s a narrow range your blood sugar is allowed to be at. Insulin is there to make sure you keep it in that range. If you’re constantly eating grains like the USDA food pyramid says, your insulin is going to be constantly in action, storing the sugars as fat. Also, all of this shit is going to be causing inflammation along with insulin resistance, so enjoy your diabetes and metabolic syndrome.
All of this shit is why people are fat, why people get hungry all the time and have fluctuating levels of energy. I know, I used to be like that as a kid (not fat though).
Grains also come with a lot of toxins. Gluten is bad for people even without Celiac disease. Our body reacts to gluten as an intruder and releases antigliadins and causes inflammation. Also, gluten, a protein, practices molecular mimicry. This is when it has a structure similar to another protein in your body, your body gets used to attacking it, and starts attacking that protein with a similar sequence in your body. If I remember correctly, wheat proteins mimic joint cartilage and myelin sheaths on our nerves. Other plant lectins are identical to kidney filtering mechanisms, insulin-producing pancreas cells, retina, and our intestinal lining. Some examples of your body attacking itself is “crohn’s disease … ulcerative colitis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, psoriasis, type 1 diabetes mellitus, lomerulonephritis … multiple sclerosis, and potentially many others as well—from thyroid inflammation to allergies to skin rashes to asthma.”
Lectins also damage the gut lining and make it hard for nutrients to be absorbed. Enjoy your colon cancer, fatty. Not only that, they cause leptin resistance so you’re always hungry. Does this sound like you? Hell yes.
Another problem is phytates. Phytates are simple, they just bind to nutrients and rob them of your body. Take it from dictionary.com, “a salt or ester of phytic acid, occurring in plants, especially cereal grains, capable of forming insoluble complexes with calcium, zinc, iron, and other nutrients and interfering with their absorption by the body.”
And it’s not just restricted to those three, you’re being robbed of a lot of nutrients.
Basically the answer is simple; if you want to be healthy and lean, don’t eat grains. It’s simple fatass, put down the bread and eat some steak.

Very informative post, Fat Slayer. You need to make a whole post pointing out all the bullshit in vegetarianism supposedly being healthy and making you lose weight sometime. Starting with how grains are essentially poison and make you fat is where you really begin opening peoples’ eyes.

Have you ever seen the documentary “Fat Head”? I found it to be a pretty informative gateway into nutrition. Although it does end on a rather infuriating “Feel free to eat what you want because it’s a free country” which I think could be misconstrued by fat people as “IT’S OKAY TO EAT 4000 CALORIES A DAY”!

I’m pretty flabby myself (6’0 190), but after a few weeks of calorie deficit low carb dieting and a beginning workout routine, my body has already begun to take shape. All in all, this blog is pretty sick.

Fat Head is a good documentary but a little bit too nice. It puts the blame on the companies and the government, not the individual more than I prefer. The government may say to eat 6-11 servings of grains per day but it’s 100% your fault if you believe that shit and do it.
